Trauma-focused therapy in a virtual IOP format
Morning, midday, or evening session options around your schedule
Recovery coaching between clinical sessions
Treatment built around your week
PTSD symptoms rarely wait for a weekly appointment. Nightmares, avoidance, and hypervigilance can show up at work, at home, and in the moments between sessions. At Modern Recovery Services, we treat PTSD and trauma-related symptoms inside a coordinated virtual IOP. You get masters-level therapists who use trauma-focused approaches, plus recovery coaches who help you carry the plan into the parts of your week where symptoms usually collide with daily life.
- One care plan for trauma & co-occuring conditions: We do not ask you to split PTSD symptoms from co-occurring concerns like substance use, depression, or anxiety.
- Therapists and coaches in the same week: Masters-level therapists lead the clinical work, while recovery coaches help you apply skills between sessions.
- Care built around adult obligations: Morning, midday, and evening session options help protect work, family, and privacy.
You get more than a video appointment. You get a treatment week built around how PTSD symptoms actually show up.
Your treatment happens privately, from home
- Choose a private space: Join sessions from a private room, home office, or another setting where you can speak openly and participate without unnecessary interruptions.
- Plan for privacy before you start: We talk through your treatment environment during the intake process so you can identify who might be nearby, what they may be able to hear, and how to create a space that feels private enough for treatment.
- Keep treatment separate from work: Your employer does not receive your treatment information simply because you participate in virtual IOP. Information is kept confidential and is only disclosed with your authorization or when disclosure is required or permitted by law.
- Get treatment without a waiting room: You can move from your normal day into treatment without sitting in a clinic lobby or traveling across town. For many working adults, that makes maintaining treatment alongside everyday responsibilities more practical.
What your treatment week looks like
Your care is structured around several types of support working together. Each part has a different purpose, giving you more than a series of disconnected appointments.
Clinical group sessions
- Work through trauma-related symptoms and patterns alongside others in a structured therapeutic setting.
Individual therapy
- We use one-on-one sessions to focus more closely on your symptoms, treatment goals, and experiences that may not be appropriate for group discussion.
Ongoing coordination
- Your clinical team and recovery coach stay connected around your treatment plan, so the different parts of your care work toward the same goals.
How Online IOP for PTSD can help with daily life
PTSD can affect more than what happens during a flashback or intrusive memory. Symptoms can influence sleep, concentration, relationships, work, and your ability to feel comfortable in everyday situations. Our Program helps you to manage these symptoms allowing you to have a higher quality of life:
- Triggers and reminders: We help you identify situations, thoughts, or experiences that can intensify symptoms and develop strategies for responding to them.
- Avoidance: We address patterns of avoiding people, places, conversations, or activities that have become difficult because of trauma-related symptoms.
- Sleep and hypervigilance: We work on the symptoms that can make it difficult to relax, sleep, or feel safe enough to fully disengage from your surroundings.
- Work and relationships: You’ll explore how PTSD symptoms affect communication, concentration, emotional responses, and participation in everyday responsibilities.
- Emotional regulation: You’ll develop practical ways to recognize and manage intense emotional responses without relying on avoidance or other unhelpful coping strategies.
We’re in-network and accept insurance
Online therapy covered by insurance does exist. Modern Recovery works with leading insurance providers across the United States to bring you quality mental health treatment that’s both accessible and affordable.

What to expect
