Sonya Byrne is a Primary Therapist at Modern Recovery Services, counseling individuals and families and facilitating groups. Sonya obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cal State University Dominguez Hills and her Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. Sonya has worked in the Mental Health field, providing Vocational case management to individuals experiencing mental illness, substance abuse, and homelessness.
Having her own struggles with anxiety and depression, Sonya is passionate about helping others in their recovery.
Sonya lives in California with her husband, two baby girls, and a lab named Austin. Sonya enjoys exercising, spending time at the beach, and reading in her free time.
